About the event
Travel back to the Second World War and experience Brading Station as it would have operated during the wartime years. For this special "A Working Day" event, the historic signal box will be worked to the original WW2-era timetable, using authentic signalling procedures and practices from the period.
Adding to the atmosphere, WW2 reenactors in period uniform will be on site throughout the day, recreating the sights and sounds of wartime railway life. Visitors can watch as trains are carefully signalled under wartime conditions, gaining a real insight into the vital role the railway played during the war.
